What is the PTA?
The PTA is a collaborative effort between parents and teachers to support the educational and developmental needs of our children. We are a PTA dedicated to help all children to thrive and reach their highest potential. We promote the welfare of our children at home, at school, and in the community. The PTA contributes to the funding of art and music programs, field trips and other school activities, sponsors community-building events like Multicultural Night and the Autumn Carnival, sponsors educational workshops for teachers, and funds crucial educational tools such as reading materials and computers.
Participation in our PTA not only has practical benefits, but also sends a powerful message to our kids that their education is so important that we actively participate and support their school in whatever way is needed.
Join us at the next PTA meeting, normally scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. Free childcare is available. Check the school calendar for the next meeting.
How to Join
Being a PTA member is one of the best (and easiest) things you can do to be active in your child’s school life. So please join today.
- Join online via the PTA Membership sign-up form.
- Fill out the PTA membership envelope that comes home with your student in September (you can also get one in the hall outside the office or at any PTA meeting – see calendar for meeting dates).
- Dues are $10 for each member. Anyone can join the PTA – parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles – even the children (although children cannot participate in any membership vote). A portion of your dues goes to the district-, state-, and national-level PTA, which constantly work to support our children through outreach, education, lobbying, and more.
