Lafayette’s annual school musical is Peter Pan Jr. There will be 5 performances in March 2018.
- Wednesday, March 21, 9am and 6:00pm
- Thursday, March 22, 6:00pm
- Friday, March 23, 9am and 6:00pm
All grade levels can participate in the musical.
K/1 Chorus sign-ups begin the week of auditions. The signup sheet for the school musical will be up on the bulletin board near the auditorium. You can sign up on the board or fill out the form online at https://goo.gl/forms/vN2j0BT9bQgPmzHi2.
All K/1 who sign up will be in a chorus and sing a song at the beginning of the play. The K/1 chorus usually has about three rehearsals (dates will be announced later) and then will be in all 5 performances.
Auditions for 2nd -5th graders will be held in the school auditorium.
Auditions are as follows:
- 2nd Graders – November 27th 1pm – 2pm
- 3rd Graders – November 27th 2pm – 3pm
- 4th Graders – November 28th 1pm – 2pm
- 5th Graders – November 28th 2pm – 3pm
- Call Backs – December 4th
- ‘Call List’ Posted – December 8th by end of day
For auditions, kids need to prepare to sing a song for 1 minute in front of a panel.

Parents need to make arrangements for drop off and pickup. Parents should notify the parent volunteer in charge of their child at drop-off and pick-up, and pick up their child at the designated time. If your child is in an off-site after school program, please make arrangements to have your child picked up on those days. Buses will not return to school to pick up children.
Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. The first day of rehearsals will be socialized later.
Parent meeting will take place in the school auditorium on Tuesday, January 9th at 7pm. This is a mandatory meeting for all parents whose kids are participating in the play. We will talk about rehearsal logistics, costumes, and much needed parental involvement/volunteering. Please be sure to give a valid email address and read all play-related emails. Important information is given such as costume requirements, scheduling updates, and requests for assistance.
The play is 100% based on parent volunteers. Parents of all students in the school play are asked to volunteer for 4 hours or pay a “volunteer buyout” fee of $50. There will be many different ways to volunteer!
