Dear Lafayette Families,

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! Principal J.D. Ellingson and our amazing staff are energized to take our children on a journey of learning. Alongside them, Lafayette’s PTA is committed to providing the educational tools our children need to achieve their academic success.

The Annual Giving Campaign (AGC)

The Annual Giving Campaign (“AGC”) is one of Lafayette’s biggest fundraisers for the year where we directly ask for monetary donations to support Lafayette school programs not covered by SFUSD.  This year, our goal is to raise $135,000.

In addition, the PTA also invites lion dancers to celebrate Lunar New Year, organizes the Donut Dash Fun Run, hosts the Autumn Carnival, and treats our teachers to appreciation breakfasts. Last year, all Lafayette students met a locally celebrated author-illustrator! All these special events were made possible because of YOUR donations.   

 Your contribution has the power to influence the educational experience of 500 students. Every donation, in any amount, makes a difference. What matters the most is that we all give what we can.  The PTA supports every student at Lafayette; please consider giving $150 per month, or, if able, a one-time donation of $1,600 per family. Your donations are 100% tax deductible. Remember, your company might be able to match the donation.
