Our Mission
The Lafayette PTA has been an organized unit of the National PTA for over 90 years. As an advocacy group, we support our children’s growth for every child to reach their potential by providing each student at Lafayette with access to the educational tools they need to succeed.
The mission of the California State PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families. One of the greatest joys about Lafayette is being a part of our amazing PTA community. As an organization, we have been able to fully or partially fund numerous grade level field trips, art and music programs, classroom supplies, assemblies, and a full-time STEM teacher just to name a few. None of this would be possible without the generous financial contributions f rom our Lafayette families. In addition to monetary contributions, our community has been able to come together and volunteer hundreds of hours to ensure the ongoing success of our community events and programs including Stop, Drop and Go; Autumn Carnival; Halloween Celebration; Donut Dash; our annual School Musical; Field Day and many more.
We encourage you to join us for our monthly PTA association meetings which generally take place at 6:00PM on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The cadence of some meetings have been changed to accommodate holidays and other school events.
We have a lot of work to do this year and I hope you’ll consider joining us to help get the job done. Wishing everyone a safe and successful school year. Go Dolphins!
