Teacher/Staff Appreciation

Description

The Teacher/Staff Appreciation Committee seeks opportunities to acknowledge our Teachers and Staff through several activities during the year. The funding from the PTA has allowed us to buy dinner for the teachers at “Back to School Night,” provide snacks periodically at their staff meetings, purchase coffee tokens for their coffee machine and small snacks in their mailboxes during teacher/parent conference week in the fall and lastly purchase soaps and lotions for the teacher/staff bathrooms. The biggest event is in May with the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon. Your input and ideas would add to how we expand our activities throughout the year. Wouldn’t you enjoy the opportunity to say “Thanks” through these PTA sponsored activities? It brings such gratitude and smiles of thanks from all.

It can be sending emails out to parents to help with setting up snacks for the staff meetings, themes for the teacher luncheon, decorating staff lounge for the luncheon. We’d love you to brainstorm with us to make a plan for the year. We meet about 1-3 times a year and have often done much of our communication vial emails and phone calls. This is a low key involvement with lots of gratification in return! We’d love the opportunity to discuss other ways to say “Thanks” to our teachers and staff. This could range from a special theme or grade level activities organized by parents in each grade. Lots of ideas and simple ways to execute these activities it comes from the parents at Lafayette.
